What's your favourite style of music?
Coldplay is the CD I'm listening to at the moment. I'm not too sure what
kind of style that is but that's my favourite CD at the moment
What's your favourite group or singer?
Probably Phil Collins is my favourite of all time but at the moment
Coldplay have taken over in the car.
What's your favourite album of all time?
Phil Collins' greatest hits.
How
about your favourite TV show and why?
The Office definitely! It's the best sitcom I've ever watched by miles.
Your favourite film?
Scarface, probably, with Al Pacino, who is my favourite actor.
What's your favourite clothes label?
It's difficult really as I don't have a favourite label but to stop the
stick from the rest of the lads in the dressing room you've got to keep
up with the trend, you know your Armani's and Hugo Boss!
What's your favourite shop?
I shop in Liverpool and Manchester and if I'm down in London I'll have a
quick nose about the shops but I haven't got a favourite shop as such.
What's your favourite type of food?
Pasta probably, fish, chicken that sort of thing.
What's your favourite restaurant?
I eat in the Warehouse in Southport all the time. I think the chef's up
there are top drawer and everytime I've been there I've had a lovely
meal.
Your favourite sport other than football?
Golf. I don't get much time to play during the winter but when the
weather is nice I try and play as much golf as possible. I also play a
lot of snooker as I've got a snooker table in my house.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Portugal and Dubai.
You
supported Liverpool as a boy so who were your first heroes?
It was Ronnie Whelan and Steve McMahon when I first started watching
Liverpool. Now knowing a bit more about football my hero would have to
be Souness, but those two players were the first heroes when I first
started watching Liverpool.
What was the first football kit you owned?
I think it was a Liverpool kit with Candy on it, that's how long ago it
was.
What was your first car?
Volkswagen Golf 1.4 and a red one as well.
What was the first match you attended?
It was Liverpool v Coventry in 1986 when Jan Molby scored a hat-trick of
penalties. My dad took me and I sat in the Kemlyn Road.
Who is the biggest influence on your career?
My dad and Steve Heighway. My dad has always been there for me but from
a football point of view Steve Heighway has helped me become the player
I am.
Most
memorable moment of your career so far?
Winning the treble.
The player you most admire in the game?
Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira, it's hard to pick one out.
Your most memorable match?
Probably the FA Cup or UEFA Cup Final in 2001, It's hard to pick out one
or the other because the feelings were exactly the same after each game.
Whose your best mate in football?
Danny Murphy.
